The family winter resort of Rathvel is situated above Châtel-St-Denis, close to Les Paccots
Rathvel is the ideal place for beginners. The company "Ski-Lifts de Rathvel SA" offers 4 ski lifts, including 2 especially for the children.
Also snowshoeing is provided. On 9 km you come across forests and glades and up to the top of Niremont. There you must enjoy the breath-taking view (Lake of Geneva, Lake of Neuchâtel and Jura).
Along the descent, you will slalom between fir trees to the Cabane du Petit Oiseau where you can have a break before heading back to your point of departure by winding along an easy road.
The whole route is equipped with reflecting material so you may enjoy a hike during the night.
